Competition Listing

The Wellesbourne Team Trophy is an invitational team event organised by Wellesbourne held at the end of October each year. The date for the 2011 competition is Sunday 30th October. For details please click here or email Peter Roberts.

Wellesbourne Sword Club is affiliated to two local bodies which offer excellent opportunities for less experienced fencers to test their skills in competition:

"The Club puts teams forward for various competitions throughout the year, but there are also many opportunities for fencers to compete individually in competitions at national and regional level. Because these events happen away from the club or on days other than Thursdays it can sometimes be hard for members to find out about them, or to know who to ask.

If you would like to compete at any level, please speak to one of the team captains or to the Match Secretary and we can try to find something that would be suitable for you. We would like to encourage members to go to competitions, and if more than one member is going it can be more sociable and there is an opportunity for lift sharing to help people get there."

For all competitions you will need some form of BFA membership - this also gives you insurance & peace of mind!
